VCT: Vinyl Composition Tile

Although vinyl floors can be extremely durable, they need proper maintenance to preserve their resilience and shine. Without proper maintenance, vinyl floors lose their shine, develop wax buildup, yellow discoloration, scratches and abrasions; and act like a magnet that attracts dirt. The Floor Cleaning Experts provide stripping, sealing and waxing to restore the look of your floor.

The right tools, the right chemicals, the right training, and your VCT flooring will be ready the next business day with no fear of business interruption.

Stripping and waxing

Stripping and waxing is the term used to refer to the removal of existing wax on your floor and applying new wax. Stripping is usually recommended when your VCT floor show signs of lost shine and scuffs as it involve an intensive labor process where machines that run on 175 rpm are brought to remove the wax.

A team of professionals understands what chemicals to use and when to use them. Moreover, they know when a floor needs to be waxed, stripped, or replaced entirely.

One of the less intensive ways to keep your synthetic floors looking brilliant is by scrubbing & recoating your floors, versus stripping them, when they no longer meet the acceptable level of appearance. The scrub & recoat procedure is part of the interim maintenance portion of your hard floor care cleaning program, and there are multiple benefits to performing this kind of maintenance.

Scrubbing and recoating

  • Reduces the manpower that’s needed to maintain flooring

  • Keeps a higher acceptable level of glossiness to floor appearance for a longer amount of time

  • Minimizes how often you have to strip floors

  • Is less time intensive than a full restorative strip & recoat procedure

  • Saves you money & extends the lifetime of the flooring material.
